New Tradition

 We started a new tradition of an adult dinner night.  We did it just after Christmas and had so much fun having a nice meal and being able to visit. We played a get-to-know-you question game that was fun and then did some virtual reality games with Elise and John's new gift.  

Obviously, we were missing half our adults.  It will be fun to see who will be here next time.  We had Elise, John, Peter, Rachel, Isaac, Kianna, and Debbie.  

Bethlehem night 12.25.23

Thanks to Isaac's interest we continued our tradition of a Bethlehem night.  I love that it is a tradition that so many of my family enjoy. We eat finger foods, sit on the floor, and wear costumes.  We wonder what it would have been like to live then and quickly excuse our summer sausage, meat and cheese in the same meal, and anything else that is not kosher. Since going to Israel this year we are more aware of kosher do's and don'ts.

Christmas with the Van Ormans 2023

 With Debbie the only kid home, Elise took pity and invited all of us to celebrate with her family.  I love Christmas Eve on Sunday and we got to enjoy attending sacrament meeting and having a day that was not work or shopping but lots of family time.

We enjoyed a delicious meal of roast and potatoes . . .

Played card games,

Came home to a quiet house while Debbie slept with the kids in their fort. We got called back for Christmas morning by 6:15.  So many excited kids and now Debbie is last.  Then Jack, Nellie, Josh, Lucy, and Rae.
