Sim has a birthday party on Saturday. I could use suggestions, ideas for games, themes, a party planner. I'll feed anyone that wants to come and play. Our family does friend parties at 5,8, and 12 years old. So, while you are at it I have to plan one for Ike in March and could use ideas for that one too. Obviously I have procrastinated, a very big flaw of mine and now I am trying to jump in and make it work. Oh, to be one of those moms that has a plan and works it. This morning we made his poster before school (1/2 hour before) so we ended up not finding long pants or 2 shoes that match. At least he had a shoe for each foot. He was happy = I'm happy. Now to the next project--invitations today, party in two days. Sure hope someone can come. Happy Valentine's!

The Answer
It started with a tub of margarine and a note that said you 'butter' search for your answer. The tub looked untouched but once he started digging there were notes of encouragement so that he would keep digging.
Eventually they decided nothing else was there and headed to Peter's room where they found this . . .
and this
It says "You popped the question so now you better 'pop' for the answer! Good Luck! (PS The answer really is here this time)

Sweet morning
This morning I had an Art of Womanhood board meeting. They have been happening at 6am twice a week. Our family devotional is at 6:30. I'm the one to initiate i.e. wake everyone up, play the piano so that they know I'm serious . . . As I was on my call I heard sweet voices from downstairs around the fire singing "I love to see the temple". Though I couldn't join them I knew they were carrying on with prayer, reading the Book of Mormon, practicing an Article of Faith and finally family prayer. I am so grateful to have Milt in town this morning. I'm grateful for family traditions that continue when I'm not able. I love starting me day with my family.
This has been a long time coming. I remember my girls complaining each morning. Asking if we could read just one page because they still need to get ready. Rolling their eyes if we tried to discuss anything because it would take away from their primping time, sharing how much they hated hearing the piano play each morning. Now we are to the point where, after 20 years, there is no complaining. The next step will be that the children continue on even when both parents are unavailable . . . it could happen. (Too bad all the piano players moved out. Time to start another generation of pianists)

technical help please
I don't know how to get pictures off the internet and onto my blog. I don't know how to copy someone else's pictures. Anyone that knows how to do this and is willing to teach me, please share. (especially if you want any pictures on this blog, which is a good choice because I am not very good at painting pictures with words). Talk to you soon.

Jail Time
We were able to visit the new county jail today. They have been giving tours to show off the new building. It's a "nice" facility. We are not real thrilled to have it here but hopefully it will serve its purpose well. My little ones were not real impressed. I guess there is no desire to try a stay there.
Our vacation/now with pictures, thanks
We were able to have a really short vacation this week. Sunday night we went to NM to visit the Henke family. We had so much fun visiting and letting our children get re-acquainted. They had so much fun. We visited about bishop stuff, home school, knitting, family. . . It was just so fun. They were so good to have us and took great care of us. Heber is a great cook and their new home is beautiful. I took my camera and had every intention of sharing with you here but, alas, there was no card in the camera = no memory. I was so disappointed. I still haven't found my card so I am left with no pictures which takes a lot of the fun out of blogging. If you want to see Boston's pictures then check out her blog.
The boys shared their new real 4 wheelers. My boys were in heaven all though luckily they came back to earth quick enough when the wrecked them. Apparently my boys have not learned how to drive yet. Although they will quickly tell you that with all the experience of Monday they could handle almost anything.
Milt left us to visit and picked up a car in Albuquerque and got us on the road again by 3. It was different to just have our three little ones for a trip but it was fun and easy.
Thanks again Henke's for lots of fun and forgiveness! ;)
