Being with J
Grateful
64 Jack is a sweet heart.
65 He always says thank you for even the littlest of things.
66 He remembers that Granny made his favorite blanket
67 I'm Granny
68 He has big dark eyes with beautiful eylashes and a ready smile.
69 He is all boy and loves being out with the animals and in the garden
70 The best toys you make yourself, like swords out of branches.
71 Boys learning the skills of growing up and teaching younger ones the way.
72 J and Nell are getting a new baby brother in October.

I love little girls
55 Nell had been visiting and I have loved having this sweet little girls here.
56 She is cheerful, easy going.
57 She does a super cute shoulder shrug. My Grandma G use to do a similar shrug with a sweet smile.
58 She has been gone for 5 years now but we have little memories come back as we see unique mannerisms.
59 She also likes to entertain. The more we laugh or smile the more she continues to do the thing that she first started.
60 I have also appreciated the great little aunt that Doodle is.
61 She loves playing with her neice and nephews.
62 She is patient and careful with them and is such a great example.
63 little toys strewn on the stairs remind me that my grandchildren are visiting.

We got rain!
and there is hope for more. As July began and we had watched so many smoke plumes and news of Utah burning up, our fasting and prayers began in earnest for rain. We got several drops one day. Although it wasn't much, not enough to make a difference it was a message of hope.
Blessings are like that. We hope. We pray. We believe that they will come in the Lord's time. It takes patience, perseverance, and it takes watching. Watching for each little blessing that says I am heard. A drop or 2 of rain that tells me that he is all powerful and is in charge. It tells me that he will send the needed blessings at the best time possible and when I am watchful I will feel the joy and the love that comes with each prayer answered.
grateful
42 raindrops big and small

45 long drinks of water
46 Julie Beck (I'll miss her in the Relief Society leadership)
47 fresh peas
48 zucchini season has begun
49 all my squash plants seem to be zucchini (how did that happen?)
50 Mr. O made it home late but safe after a long drive last night
51 Young men and their leaders willing to do the hard, adventurous activities
52 more clouds today and chance of rain!
53 family including us in their plans
54 leftover Cafe Rio salad and sweet memories of eating the first half with friends.
| clouds were something we have seen very little of. |
A few clouds and then raindrops that almost show up in my picture.
Then the rain finally came. You have to dance in the rain when it comes. You have to get out and play and enjoy and shout praises. . . even if there are only 3 of you home and one needs to take the pictures.
It was nearly 2 weeks later but we received a real rain storm. It lasted for almost 30 minutes and brought with it joy and hope.

31 In God we Trust
32 Lesson on testimony I especially enjoyed the additional articles on the side bar. Testimony has a price but when we put forth the effort then the strength, peace, gratitude, and life direction are so great.
